The timing of this commercial advertising Tottenham's replica kits was almost perfect. Two wins out of two, including a terrific victory over Manchester City, underlined the ads ironic twist on the phrase 'classic Tottenham', meaning a tendency to underachieve. Unfortunately, their third result was genuinely 'classic Tottenham' – a home defeat to Bournemouth. Oh well.

Nonetheless, this is a fun attempt to subvert a well-known trope associated with the north London club, and everyone involved, including a number of club's stars, seem to be having a lot of fun, and there is an engaging level of self-deprecation.
