Medieval musings.

Almost twenty years after the release of 'Medieval II: Total War', players with a soft spot for the Middle Ages have, er, 'Total War: Medieval III' to look forward to. Why publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly tweaked the title like that is unclear, but it matters little to the cast of this live-action trailer: five monarchs who each rule how they see fit.

The oldest swears by the divine right of kings, while the youngest draws strength from cartography. One insists money makes the world go round, but another prefers to play the long game. As for the bloke with a sword in his hand and blood on his face, he prefers a more… direct approach. Different strokes for different folks, eh?

As there's no one correct way to rule, faces become blurred, illuminated, or shrouded in darkness. Not only does it help convey the game's open-ended approach, it lets players see themselves on the throne.
