The Ring
"Fatal Fury"

It's a knockout.
This over-the-top commercial for Ring Magazine kills two birds with one mixed-media stone. Not only does it stoke anticipation for Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn on 26 April, but it also promotes 'Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves', the twelfth entry in SNK's hallowed fighting game series. Confused? Not after you have a look at DAVID's conspiracy board. The organiser of the much-delayed fight is Turki Alalshikh, chairman of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority. The country's Public Investment Fund, meanwhile, bought 96% of SNK back in 2022. With 'City of the Wolves' due for release a couple of days before Eubank Jr vs Benn, why not call the fight 'Fatal Fury' for maximum synergy? Oh, and chuck in KSI and IShowSpeed for good measure. Boxing's changed, man. Be that as it may, it's hard not to get swept up in a bonkers, no expense spared commercial that turns Eubank Jr and Benn into pixelated then polygonal fighters, goaded by an announcer who says: "Time to settle what your fathers never could!" This is a playful nod to Nigel Benn vs Chris Eubank II, which ended in a draw back in 1993—how will the next generation fare at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium?
