The bald truth.

This brilliantly funny short film by Marvin Jay Alvarez made through Uncommon reunites Allan 'Seapa' Mustafa and Hugo Chegwin from cult comedy 'People Just Do Nothing'. Modern comedy often has an alchemic quality as it straddles pathos and ribaldry trying not to lean too far in either direction, and it takes considerable skill to maintain the balance.

Alvarez proves more than capable of managing this delicate task with the two main performers injecting his beautifully crafted script with a dryness that barely acknowledges that the aim is comedy. It delivers a number of laugh out loud moments, while also offering a serious meditation on the reality of impending baldness (or whatever it is we're supposed to call it!)

This is one to savour, so if you haven't watched it yet, elbow ten minutes for yourself, put your phone on silent, and enjoy a sublime comedy sketch with heart. You won't be disappointed.
