Do it like we used to.
At one point in 'Looper', Old Joe (Bruce Willis) says: "I don't want to talk about time travel because if we start talking about it then we're going to be here all day talking about it, making diagrams with straws." Get too bogged down in the details and you might never come up for air. So, how does Craig Ainsley's short film 'Everyone Does It' avoid this problem? For starters, Heather (Florence Keith-Roach), Jennifer (Mariam Haque), and Chloe (Michelle Fahrenheim) are not your typical time travellers. They come from the future for shits and giggles, for a weekend break, and—in Heather's case—for casual sex. After a one-night stand with Joel (Steve Whiteley), she must placate Jennifer and satisfy Chloe's curiosity before check-out. This is done in hushed tones, but poor Joel is only pretend asleep. He overhears bombshells like "My friend had sex with a Victorian gentleman" and wonders if the trio are about to murder him. His microexpressions are delightful, as is the awkward scramble back to the future ("Good day to you, sir!") Is the science sound? Who cares when the sex is good.
