James Austin Johnson has played Donald Trump on 'Saturday Night Live' since 2021. As the latter threatens to go beyond parody once and for all, the former must keep up somehow. He's not short of material, that's for damn sure—next on the agenda is the White House ballroom set to cost $300m(£225m). To make this and other 'improvements' a reality, Donald hires the Property Brothers (both played by Miles Teller).

It helps to know who Jonathan and Drew Scott are ahead of time, but you still get a good read on them as they traverse the madness of Donald and Melania (Chloe Fineman). Both Johnson and Fineman are on top form as Melania puts up Halloween decorations for Christmas and Donald shows off a mood board fit for a tyrant—a little Jabba the Hut here, a touch of Vladimir Putin there.

The only problem (apart from the Trumps' insoluble lack of taste) is that the Property Brothers are from Canada. If you thought the president had moved on from that particular spat, we have some difficult news to tell you. But first, the weather and reports of ICE in the Washington DC area…
