Say no more.
No parent wants a phone call from school. Take the mum in this well-cast, understated Robinsons commercial—she's a call handler who's asked to pick up her son from school. It’s never made clear what he's done, but you can guarantee he's not been made Head Boy. "Ruddy hell" sums it up, to be honest, but she also tells the headteacher that words will be had later. This is not the time for raised voices or doors slammed shut, however (that’s never been the brand’s style). Mum just pours a couple of glasses for them to share at the kitchen table. You can tell the boy is shaken by what’s happened, so it's a chance for both mother and son to take stock and refresh before they hash it out. Except... they never do. Instead, they laugh at the absurdity of the situation (whatever that situation happens to be!) The world hasn't ended, no one's been arrested—it's just one of those moments that every family encounters in some shape or form. It can be thirsty work, mind, so the brand strives to offer reassurance in a glass.
