One of DAVID's favourite books in recent times is 'Commander in Cheat: How Golf Explains Trump' by Rick Reilly. As well as a compulsive liar and cheater, Donald Trump is revealed to be part man, part golf cart. The president never, ever walks, even on the courses he owns that have banned them. If Tesla made golf carts, Elon Musk would get the Medal of Freedom.

It might be Trump's favourite mode of transport, but not Reebok's. Directed by Dan French, 'No Thanks, I'll Walk' sticks two fingers up at the golf cart. Then sets it on fire. Then pings it away like a bug. Is there time to drown it in a lake? Or put a brick on the accelerator and let it drive until it dies? By all means, says the sportswear giant and golf brand Manors.

Both brands want those who are able to to pound the turf, not take the car(t). That's how you learn a golf course, with feet on the ground and the ability to keep your head. French and his crew illustrate this through genteel anarchy, as well as a neat glimpse at night golf.
