There are hints of Danny Boyle's 'Sunshine 'to this powerful ad for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Scored by Joep Beving's 'Midwayer', the film explores what happens when a couple receives news that no one wants to hear and no one wants to deliver. When Eleanor is diagnosed with stage four cancer, her husband seeks strength from the stars above—namely, the Sun.

Director Rune Milton and DP Paul Meyers flit between the struggle that takes place on planet Earth (treatment, medication, pain that never lets up) and a brutal yet beautiful voyage that takes the husband to our greatest source of energy. If he can somehow harness pure incandescence, the couple may have enough to endure and even repel whatever the disease throws at them. Consider the advertised hospital as Mission Control.
