CSI: Kindergarten

In this commercial for Pluto TV, a pair of doting parents listen to a teacher effusively praising their daughter Lola's achievements in kindergarten... or, at least, one of them does. While dad pays full attention, mum is distracted by a hair she spies lying across the teacher's desk. She has been watching too much CSI for free using the advertised service and her antenna for intrigue has been so stimulated that she cannot resist any possibility of a mystery that needs solving.

Every moment of the ad's 30 seconds services the advertising idea, meaning that, as well as enjoying an amusing piece of entertainment, the audience is reminded of the breadth of Pluto's offer... let's face it, with all of its various geographical locations, CSI alone must run to around a million episodes!

As you'd expect from director David Shane, the casting and the performances are perfect. The actress playing Grace (the mum) is the personification of curiosity as she stares at the errant hair, but don't lose sight of of the actor playing her husband, whose background performance is equally worthy
