Christmas is not a competition, but tell that to the sisters in this Pepco commercial. From the moment one cuts across the other in the driveway, 'tis the season to be jolly ruthless. It's not a battle to the death like DAVID's annual game of 'Monopoly', but both sisters are on it as they bid to outpace, outmuscle, and, er, out-gingerbread house the other.

The two are formidable opponents, that's for sure: one has children to sway the grandparents, while the other has mastered the family recipe for a gingerbread house. As the domestic battle intensifies, the way they try to top the Christmas tree at the same time reminds DAVID of a WWE ladder match.

Before anyone crashes through a table or chokes a pesky cat to death, the sisters declare a truce long enough to exchange presents. Here, at long last, Christmas spirit wins out over spite, and we like that whatever the women bought each other is left to the imagination. What we do know is that they went to the advertised retailer, who are happy to act as peacemaker if necessary.
