In a gore-free commercial directed by Tom Sainsbury, Cliff Curtis (Travis Manawa in 'Fear the Walking Dead') claims One New Zealand is "the only mobile network on the planet to be endorsed by the Zombie Research Society". If the line between fact and fiction disappears under a pile of chewed-up corpses, customers want a resilient provider to make the end of civilization more tolerable.

Gorehounds may be disappointed by the lack of blood and guts, but Curtis makes up for it with a personable performance that pokes fun at a particular kind of celebrity endorsement ("I know a thing or two—but definitely not three—about survival"). We like how the man from Rotorua trespasses on a cantankerous farmer’s land not once, but twice.
