"Order Like Stormzy"

Maccy D ramp up their street cred.

Well, well, well. Who'd have thunk it?! McDonald's have only gone and persuaded the one and only Stormzy to appear in a commercial... well, more than that - he doesn't just appear, he manifests in one form or another throughout the whole thing. And it's great.

The grime star's involvement in this promotion is pretty comprehensive. The fast food restaurant has enabled punters to order his favourite meal... nine chicken nuggets, fries and a McFlurry at their outlets up and down the land (after a number of branches in Stormzy's home town of Croydon got a sneak preview for a few days).

The fun conceit promoting this special offer has McDonald's customers expressing their preferences using Stormzy's voice, with director Paul Hunter maximising the humour in Gina Ramsden and Freya Purnell's excellent script.

Stormzy has massive crossover appeal, and he's a very relaxed presence throughout, even managing to smile engagingly when Alison Steadman has a slightly incongruous cameo at the end.
