As charming as Ian Wright is, you can't build a Christmas campaign around him if you don't take the trouble to complete the script. The ad for M&S looks the part, but it's a missed opportunity and ends up looking like excerpts from a longer, more coherent commercial. And that's a shame, as I an Wright has exactly the kind of down-to-earth charisma that would have made that work.
