"More Ball Games"

10 April 2025

60s

Let the games begin.

This ad for London Sport says balls to No Ball Games signs. "They've been hanging over London since the Seventies," we're told, with kids left to hang around as a result. The advertised charity believes change is long overdue, so it and directors Elliot Lee and Rory Peyton Jones (BRIGHTNIGHT) head to a council estate with a power drill and a red basketball hoop.

One hoop is all it takes to start a movement, as it turns out—soon the whole cast wants a piece of action, even as the light starts to fade (no sign of curmudgeonly neigbours). The signs, they are a-changin', if the brand has its way, with support from the London Lions basketball team for good measure. The kids are all right—they just need the right to play
