Legs appeal.
Kaiser Permanente's new commercial has legs. Like… actual legs. More legs than you can shake a bone at. They also move to the sound of 'On Melancholy Hill' by Gorillaz, a song that goes: "If you can't get what you want/Then come with me." If viewers feel let down by fragmented health care, the brand encourages them to get a move on. That's where the aforementioned legs come in. When a patient snaps as a result of small print and even smaller print, his chair grows blue legs and walks right out of the hospital. Not only does the building follow suit, but also everyone and everything in the operating room. Al fresco surgery's not recommended in real life, but it works here. The brand's one-stop shop philosophy also causes a pharmacy and an insurer to march, too. The latter's where we introduced to perhaps our favourite minor character of the year, Mr Insurance, who's lifted off his seat by the force of each step. The blank look on his face, coupled with his detachable hair, threatens to steal the show.
