And bang on.
Brothers Olly, Josh, and Max Kohn star in a bang-on commercial for Jolly Hog, the brand they founded in 2009. The three live and breathe sausages, so when a woman asks how they get them so tasty, the Kohns talk until the pigs come home. Not just at company headquarters, mind—anywhere that Olly, Josh, and Max happen to be. Director David Dearlove rolls with the idea to great effect. The brothers’ lecture takes place at a barbecue, a parents' evening, and a gym. Then the ad pushes the envelope with a funeral, a birth scene, and a bank robbery (you can just about hear, "White pepper for heat and black pepper for depth" above the alarm). Cut to the funny bone by Max Windows, this execution has the right balance of daftness and confidence in the product to suggest it is indeed worth talking about. By the time we're back at Jolly Hog HQ, the cleaners are in and the woman's about to conk out. Did the Kohns mention they also did bacon? She might need a cup of coffee first.
