Huggies

"Little Fighter"

6 June 2025

3 mins 23s

An early arrival.

Director Ian Ruschel has committed fully to the sentimentality of the story in this US film for Huggies, and has delivered a film that lands a twist alongside all the feels. The grandeur of the execution adds hugely to the impact of the film, as we watch the progress of a premature baby both during the early crisis of her life, and everything that follows.

Huggies' presence is relatively low key, and probably could have been more so (brands ought to know by now that less is more when it comes to campaigns like this... keep your logos out of sight!).

The story is given room to breathe, and Ruschel, ably assisted bby a top notch team of collaborators has taken full advantage to build the film slowly towards its emotional climax and its reveal. This is the kind of film that underlines the strength of a brand's values, more so when it's done well, and here it's been done very well indeed.
