Positional awareness.

Compulsive gamblers go nowhere fast in this plug for GamCare, the charity behind the National Gambling Helpline. To illustrate how trapped addicts feel, director Max Millies and production designer Hannah Backshall present a man with concrete boots, a woman tied up in knots, and a guy almost eaten alive by the sofa. Even Harry Houdini would struggle to escape these traps.

Some ads about gambling addiction have tapped into psychological horror or treated us to a song (no, you really shouldn't have), but not this one. The hope is that viewers not only engage with Millies and Backshall's witty, tactile visuals, but also recognise the moments they feel paralysed by odds, accas, and incessant play-by-play commentary in real life.
