It's Amazing to be Young

The latest addition to Luna Carmoon's already impressive portfolio of collaborations with Fontaines D.C. successfully intertwines pop promo with a melodrama, that's both touchingly weird and weirdly touching. The track is called 'It's Amazing to Be Young', and opens with a scene inside a London pharmacy where a young man picks up a prescription for a violent looking skin complaint which is affecting him just below his eyes.

He doesn't, in truth, look much of a romantic prospect in any conventional sense, but this is a Luna Carmoon film and there's nothing conventional about it, so it's no surprise that a young woman witnessing the angry interaction between the woman behind the counter and the young man finds herself unable to resist his Gothic vibe. What follows is, by Carmoon standards, a fairly familiar narrative of growing attachment, parental disapproval, and romantic reunion... but the way it is presented is anything but familiar.
