Striptease

The road to 'Eusexua', FKA Twigs' third album, ends in a car tunnel near Marseille. Shot by Jordan Hemingway and lensed by Jasper Wolf, the promo for 'Striptease' is a traffic cop's worst nightmare: not only is she on foot, but she also dances as cars zip by. It helps that Twigs—who's known to host the odd movement workshop in her spare time —has perfect balance.

It lets her straddle two lanes ("I'm borderline, it's getting late, I feel alive") and perform a kinetic, knotty dance routine on concrete and tarmac. Unfazed by cars or even a truck that almost flattens her, Twigs and her red dress, cut into strips that chime with the song's title, command the screen from start to finish.

For her last trick, Twigs turns into a mass of body parts inspired by a Rorschach test. Any driver who reports this to the police may well get breathalysed.
