Childish Things (ft. North West)

Never mind Kevin Smith's cheesy performance as a record music exec playing hard to get as FKA Twigs battles for more budget for her next music video, just enjoy the meta satire of the video being the very thing for which the star is seeking funding, and a cameo (in Japanese) from North West - the eleven year old progeny of Kanye and Kim Kardashian.

Twigs's enmeshment of music, movement and the avant-garde has sometimes drawn comparison's with Björk, and that feels especially vivid in the first iteration of 'Childish Things', before Smith's exec character intervenes, and insists she should consider getting a rapper to contribute to the track.

Twigs gives a fine comedy performance, provides a delightful contemporary dance sequence, but, above all, delivers the song like the deity her fans know her to be.
