Stranger danger.

Three friends in a convenience store are most certainly inconvenienced by the Demogorgon in this retrofied Doritos spot. Vecna may have taken over as the big bad in 'Stranger Things', but the beast with a face only an infernal florist could love still has the power to unnerve. It's three against one here, but our money's on the Demogorgon.

Stuck at the bottom of an aisle like human endcaps, the trio must come up with a plan or be killed like Barbara Holland (#Justice4Barb). When one of them spots a bag of Doritos Collisions, he offers to sacrifice himself and have the creature follow the crunch. That should be that, but his two friends also want to be the hero—Pizza and Cool Ranch-flavoured tortilla chips are worth the pain, supposedly.

Director Juan Piczman and his crew, meanwhile, demonstrate painstaking attention to detail through 1980s groceries, Upside Down mood lighting, and the Demogorgon's hunting stance. The result is a silly, savoury reminder that when it comes to the crunch, people often go with their, ahem, gut.
