Chats and dogs.

If the dog in this Dogs Trust commercial sounds a lot like Mark Benton, that’s because he is voiced by Mark Benton. When a girl wishes for her pet to speak, even if it's just for one day, she wakes on Christmas morning to the sound of "Merry Christmas, Daisy!" Only she can hear Buddy, though, which is probably for the best—mum and dad would demand to know where all those socks got to.

We'd love to know if Benton (not to be confused with Fenton the labrador) went full method for this one or not. He sounds like he sunk his teeth into the role, from the way he celebrates a "chewy, pully thing" to his claim that this walk is the "best walk ever... since yesterday!" Above all else, Buddy's grateful for the life his adopted family's given him.

This is sweetly translated by Daisy to her parents, who are confused as to how she knows so much about the day they brought Buddy home. We'll leave them to discuss whether to consult a child psychiatrist or not—the advertised charity, meanwhile, would love more dogs to feel like Buddy up and down the country.
