Rosie May Bird Smith directs a cheeky Current Account Switch Service commercial that may cause viewers to think twice about that blind date they have later. When the maître d' of an Italian restaurant takes the protagonist to her table, the ick is almost too much to handle. Why? Because the woman and her date have known each for years.

This could have been so much ickier, but we're glad Caitlin Chakraborty, Indi Morland, Nick Coates, and Gabriella Kohl's script keep it low-key. We like how Bird Smith composes the shot, too, as the maître d' lingers next to the table like a man who never learned what to do in this situation at waiter school. If the kitchen's out of awkward, there's plenty out here.
