Cboe Global Markets
"A World Without Options"

Same old, same old.
A world with no differentiation has been skilfully conjured by director Adrian De Sá Garcês in this striking TV spot for Cboe Global Markets which stresses how much better life can be when we have options. This kind of representation of blandness has, of course, being done before, arguably with sufficient frequency to be an advertising trope, but it gets repeated because it is an effective piece of messaging. The target market will be only too aware that existing exchanges have a tendency to be very samey, so advertising difference as a point of difference is likely to land extremely well. To make this point, De Sá Garcês creates a beige universe where uniformity reigns supreme. Every little detail contributes to the creation of a soul destroying sameness, counterweighted by a soundtrack that reminds us to stay upbeat. Investment services are normally advertised with a level of drabness represented by the imagery contained within so it's refreshing, to say the least, to witness a piece of advertising introducing a bit of fun into the sector.
