"Debbie & Sons"

Pickle me this, pickle me that.

A day may come when adland gets tired of pickles, but it is not this day. The latest brand with brine on the brain is Canva, who wants to help a crisp-and-pickle sandwich van fulfil its potential—Peggy's an irregular customer at best. Director Eoin Glaister and food stylist Fergal Connolly combine to tell the story of Debbie and her sons with savoury flair (like savoir faire, but moreish.

There are some lovely visual gags nestled throughout, like how the lights come on when Debbie's sons have a brainwave (if you read 'Good Ideas' and 'Really, Really Good Ideas' long enough, you're bound to come up with something). The family's mousepad, meanwhile, features a top-down view of a sandwich, in case they ever forget what all the hard work is about.

A new brand identity, as made with the advertised software, helps attract more customers than you can chuck a crisp-and-gherkin sarnie at. Chuck in the best blimp-slash-pickle mash-up since 'The Simpsons' and you have a spot full of vim from start to finish.
