And to all a good knight.

If you ask Burberry, there's no party like a Jennifer Saunders party. Before she enters 'Amandaland' in December (DAVID wants it now), Saunders hosts a Christmas party at her gaff. No sign of husband Adrian Edmondson or daughters Beattie, Ella, and Freya, but that's OK—she's got the likes of Ncuti Gatwa, Naomi Campbell, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Son Heung-Min to keep her company.

There's a real Marks & Spencer energy to the work. Both Saunders and Huntington-Whiteley have starred in M&S Christmas spots over the years, while canapés are just as important as the clothes. What makes it a Burberry film, however, are prudent nods to the brand's knight logo (a suit of armour's most dangerous weapon is a party hat instead of a lance).

A bit more party chat from her big-name guests would have been welcome, but Saunders keeps the energy high and makes viewers feel at home. We also like how former Tottenham forward Son's travelled almost six thousand miles from Los Angeles to give Saunders… well, who knows what that spherical gift could be.
