60s

Out and about.

Tyson Beckford, star of 'Make Me a Supermodel', 'Britain's Next Top Model', and 'Zoolander', is fifty-four. Fifty-four. Look at the man. We're not sure how he does it, but the American actor and model makes an absolute mockery of his birth certificate. We cannot for the life of us imagine why Burberry would want him to star in a commercial for the brand…

We do know why it asked Olivia Colman to return (she led 2024's character-driven campaign like an alt-history monarch). Who better to make a tourist like Beckford feel at home than the pride of Norwich? In this 60" commercial directed by John Madden, Colman sits next to Beckford on a park bench as a game of cricket unfolds.

It's always fun to hear our American brethren say words like "cricket" and "snooker" (DAVID cannot unhear Jon Bernthal's stab at the latter), but it's done with low-key charm here. The actor, meanwhile, celebrates a six in the most Olivia Colman way possible—perhaps more members of the Barmy Army will adopt pricey trench coats as a result.
