"See It Differently"

11 April 2025

90s

An endurance event.

This is a very clever way of illustrating the breadth of content available on Britbox, currently the poor cousin of streaming services. A woman who was sat in a make up chair is styled and costumed to fit in with each of several genres in a single continuous shot which was filmed over fourteen hours, but is shown in just ninety seconds.

It's one of those feats of filmmaking where need to know how it was done to be fully impressed by it, but that's no problem as the PR machine is letting everyone in on its secrets. It's a shrewd piece of attention-grabbing marketing, and this service needs no less than that if it's going to take on the likes of Netflix and Amazon in the competition for eyeballs on the sofa.
