"Gift Happily Ever After"

Puss some effort into it.

The 2025 Boots Christmas ad from agency The Pharm and directors stars Puss in Boots, but not the one voiced by Antonio Banderas in the 'Shrek' films (that would've been a heck of a coup). He sounds more West Country than Málaga for a start, plus he'd rather use a claw rather than a sword. We doubt he takes catnip for medicinal purposes, either. So what's new with this pussycat?

Our world is new, as it happens. On his way to buy gifts in time for the Snow Queen's ball, he's transported from the land of fairy tales to a snowy high street where the advertised pharmacy chain awaits. Thanks to a helpful assistant who must deal with anthropomorphic cats all the time, he's got a bag full of presents and a ball to attend.

Three of those gifts are for Rapunzel, Snow White, and Cinderella, but—as this is 2025—they're now called Rapunz, Snowy, and Cinders (Prince Charming's still Prince Charming for whatever reason). We do go back to 1981, though, courtesy of 'Girls on Film' by Duran Duran, and the result is a busy, balls-out plug for the brand that always makes Christmas parties its business.
