"Names Will Be Made"

Feat of clay.

Three years after England made history at Wembley, the Lionesses are ready to defend their European title in Switzerland. Victory over Germany made household names of Beth Mead, Alessia Russo, Mary Earps, Jill Scott, et al., but who will be immortalized at Euro 2025? It's a question at the heart of BBC Sport's stop-motion animation trailer.

To the strains of 'Heads Will Roll' by Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the ad takes place not on a plastic pitch, but a Plasticine one. Morph meets 'Match of the Day' as the likes of Romee Leuchter, Jess Fishlock, and Lauren James show what they're made of (apart from clay, obviously). The MVP, however, is Aitana Bonmatí, whose skills force the camera to stick or twist.

The result is a colourful, anarchic antidote to FIFA's Club World Cup—a tournament as thrilling as watching clay dry. Just as football fatigue threatens to take hold, this commercial provides a much-needed jolt to the system.
