"Wellness Made Simple"

8 October 2025

57s

Getting on her goat.

The iconic Natasha Rothwell displays great comedy timing in this unusual ad for Asics which riffs on the search for enlightenment through wellness, making fun of 'The White Lotus' along the way. Appearing at first to be endorsing a spiritual approach to well-being, Rothwell turns the idea of its head by conceding that 'movement' rather than serenity is the key to karmic satisfaction.

The post-reveal monologue is joyous, and perfectly delivered... "get off me, yoga goat" is the most memorable line, but "wrapped in seaweed like a sad sushi" is a close second.

And the message is simple but effective. You can search all you want for expensive spiritual fixes, but, in the final analysis, it all comes down to committing to movement and getting fit. It will free your body and your mind.
