Feeling the heat.

Arguably the greatest challenge faced by director MarySue Masson when making this comic film drawing attention to a special offer by Amazon in support of women dealing with symptoms of menopause was to coax a performance from Davina McCall which wasn't overshadowed by that of Morgana Robinson. The latter, after all, is very much on home turf here, as this is very much her comedy oeuvre.

McCall holds her own though, and, thanks to Masson's skilful guidance, demonstrates an unexpected flair for comedy. The resulting film is as silly as it is serious, as it catalogues the ways in which women are obliged to endure life-affecting symptoms while their plight is completely overlooked by a patriarchal society which tends not to concern itself with such things.
