This meta World of Tanks commercial warns us that when Jason Statham has a vision, you roll with it. He arrives on set as Santa Claus's stunt double, but leaves yet another trail of destruction in his wake. It may not be what the director (named after a map in the game) had in mind, but it’s hard to argue with Statham in full flow.

Cup of tea in hand, the actor injects a rather staid Christmas action film with more weapons, explosions, and stealth kills than the poor director can handle. A bit of scream therapy helps, until he realises what Statham has done to the set. Who needs a sleigh when you have a Sherman tank, eh?

At the risk of a shell to the face, DAVID admits he balked at the six-minute runtime. Yet Statham is good company throughout, and director Nez—the real director, that is— has fun with beats like a rehearsal inspired by the famous 'Sherlock Holmes' fight scene (Statham talks everyone through the punishment he’s about to administer). Military-grade mirth from everyone involved.
