There's a consensus among advertisers about the true nature of the British summer, and it's perfectly encapsulated by this ad from Saatchi & Saatchi which was directed by Billy Boyd Cape. After longing for sunshine and heat, we seek shelter from it when it finally happens, but nonetheless lament its interruption by the inevitable storm clouds. Sounds about right.
