Sophie Ellis-Bextor knows how to get her own way. In 2001, the music video for 'Murder on the Dancefloor' saw her win a dance competition by hook and by crook. Twenty-three years later, Ellis-Bextor sticks to what she knows in the promo for 'Freedom of the Night'.

Shot by Theo Adams and 'Murder…' director Sophie Muller, the film turns Ellis-Bextor into a competitive mum who'll do whatever it takes to help her daughter (Harriet Rogers) win a children's dance contest. A bag of sweets should do the trick, right?

As the other kids run riot, Team SEB steal the show with a bravura ribbon-dance that encapsulates "the freedom of the night". The judges should have expected this kind of behaviour—after all, Colin Stinton and Amy Thornton were on the panel for 'Murder on the Dancefloor'. Now that is fan service!
