Training day.
Andrew Garfield is all in in this charming commercial for Sky which introduces an advertising idea that could run and run. It's a variation on the 'If Carlsberg made...' notion which formed the backbone of a long-running campaign, and continues with the already established idea of how everything falls neatly into place with Sky. Garfield, in trying to explain what Sky feels like, uses the metaphor a perfect train journey. In this fantasy ride, everything that could go right does go right, and then some. With some neat VFX from 1920 backing director Traktor, Garfield's voyage becomes ever more ludicrously wonderful until it's revealed that he's breathlessly explaining all of it a woman making him a coffee. It's a committed performance from the actor formerly known as Spider-Man, and that in itself speaks to the calibre of the advertised service.
