Idris does it again.

Once again, DAVID is in awe of the value offered by Idris Elba when he appears in a commercial. This is a consummate example of a celebrity endorsement with Elba literally sliding from one scene to the next and delivering what appears to be a completely sincere evaluation of the advertised service.

Director Matt Aselton is so confident of the star's charisma that he uses him as the straight man around which the other characters are able to develop little comedy flourishes, and it works perfectly.

Idris Elba in full flow could sell clothes to nudists; sunny holidays to goths; and airline tickets to Greta Thunberg. He is unstoppable, and Matt Aselton has made the absolute most of him.
