Royal Ontario Museum
"Nature's Symphony"

Man and beast in perfect harmony.
This epic Royal Ontario Museum spot is an unexpected companion piece to 'Better Man', the film where Robbie Williams is played by a CGI chimp. 'Immortal Symphony' features one, too—only this ape prefers classical music to pop. Choreographer Jennifer Rose dons the mo-cap suit to play Luna, a chimpanzee curious about the world and her place in it. What comes out of her mouth is not pant-hoots, but ‘Una furtiva lagrima' from 'L'elisir d'amore' by Gaetano Donizetti. This might be as close as we ever get to ‘Planet of the Apes: The Musical'. It would be hard to top what Revolver's Rune Milton and the team at Chemistry have come up with. There are hints of 'Planet Earth', and '2001: A Space Odyssey' to a commercial that reminds viewers how they lucked out with Earth: art, culture, nature, et cetera. The hope is that RMO patrons are just as inspired as Luna by the time they reach the gift shop. Expect chimpanzee toys to be popular in the run-up to Christmas.
