All the people in this O2 commercial want for Christmas is data—enough to study, play a video, make a video call to loved ones, or check how much money's in the current account. What they get instead is a "You're out of data" message.

This worries both the advertised mobile operator and the Good Things Foundation, as three years after they launched the National Databank, too many people still lack access to broadband or mobile data. Agency VCCP and director Stefanie Soho say let it snow.

Sure enough, SIM cards fall from the sky to the strains of 'Snowfall' by Ingrid Michaelson. Any faster and those shards of plastic, silicon, phosphorous, and gold would have taken someone's eye out—instead, they help people connect at a time when others take it for granted.
