Something in the air.
The last time something was in the air was in 2004, when the Carphone Warehouse used, er, 'Something in the Air' by Thunderclap Newman to launch TalkTalk. The latest brand to call out the instigators are National Grid, who have a lot of work to do over the next few years in [drum roll] The Great Grid Upgrade. In reality, this involves seventeen infrastructure projects in England and Wales; in a 40" commercial directed by Tony Barry, it involves a truck carrying a giant plug to an outlet by the North Sea. You wish this was how offshore wind energy made it to dry land, but there must be a couple of reasons why this is impractical in real life. As engineers prepare to outline those reasons in a long and informative email, we're free to enjoy some of the light-hearted moments that take place outside the cab. We love how a woman takes out the dreaded box of wires and cables from under the bed and shouts, "Has anyone seen the plug for the charger?" Panto season may be a ways off still, but—IT'S BEHIND YOU!
