"Drive Away Happy"

7 October 2024

60s

On a roll again.

Kwik-Fit roll back onto our screens with an off-kilter spot that likes to keep it horizontal. The protagonist uses a car creeper for much of this 60" commercial, like a man who, er, lies down for what he believes in. He and his colleagues—one of whom is crammed inside a tyre— believe in service that makes customers drive away happy every time.

Not every motorist can make it to their local garage, however, so the laid-back spokesman comes to them. He means it, as well—one woman has to walk backwards on her driveway to reach the home visit threshold. Some may think he's lost the plot, but others will appreciate his commitment and mad creeper skills.

Director Harold Einstein has a peculiar gift for demanding viewers' attention, and he once again employs his fun array of high jinks to great effect,
