We find in flavour of the defendant.
Gousto's 'Steal the Show' campaign continues with this well-judged spoof of courtroom dramas. When the prosecution (who reminds DAVID of Ryan Gosling in 'The Big Short') rests, it's up to the defence to spare his client jail. He gets off to a good start ("Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you have the chance today to right a great wrong"), but platitudes will only take him so far in this trial. That's when he tells the court to wake up and smell the garlic of all things. It ruffles the prosecution and intrigues the judge: if the defence can sprinkle a few more ingredients into his argument, he might just pull this off. Sure enough, he detects smoked paprika, chicken, and patatas bravas through the fourth wall. Director Tim McNaughton of The Bobbsey Twins From Homicide draws some lovely performances from the cast (the defendant goes on an emotional and culinary journey), but also draws viewers into the recipe—just one of two-hundred-and-fifty available each month from the brand.
