"For the Club"

7 October 2024

2 mins 08s

Club matters.

With the FIFA licence still up for grabs, as far as we can tell, it's hard to look past 'EA Sports FC' for a kickabout. 'Sociable Soccer' by Jon Hare has its charms, while Konami's much-maligned 'eFootball' just sort of exists on the periphery. It’s a healthy lead to defend, but the brand still want to make as much noise about 'EA Sports FC 25' as possible.

The new promo, directed by Rollo Jackson, explores what people do "for the club" day and night. More so than some professional footballers in the past, they bleed, they sweat, and they cry. Even if Gianluigi Buffon takes the piss out of them, they still come back for more. Anyone who's thrown a controller away in anger will appreciate what the cast go through.
