Try before you buy.

This is quietly becoming one of the funniest campaigns regularly on TV. In this instalment, Currys makes the case for visiting actual stores instead of simply buying stuff online by making fun of punters who have become addicted to internet shopping in a series of vignettes steeped in affectionate parody.

What's great about this and the other ads in the series is the way the humour serves the advertising proposition, and it remains a very effective piece of advertising even as it makes you laugh. It really does remind us that there's value in seeing stuff before we buy it, and because not everybody checks it out at Currys before buying it from Amazon, it might even boost sales.
