Loved-up couples share the capital with sprinters, cyclists, hammer throwers, gymnasts, and more, though no one gets in the way of each other. Imagine if your romantic picnic was interrupted by a javelin to the face.

Before sport takes full control of the spot, we get an ice bath lit by candlelight—a lovely reminder that Paris 2024 is no city break. There's already been one shock result in France this summer; how many more will the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad produce?
