How Chad can it get?
The Underdogs—Bridget, Brian, Marie, and Dave—are back for a fifth instalment of this superb Apple campaign. Christopher Mintz-Plasse ('Superbad', 'Kick-Ass') guest stars as Chad, the client from hell who wants half a million boxes in ten days. The only factory in the world that can fulfil the order is in Thailand, so Bridget, Marie, and Dave fly over like geeks on a mission. A crocked Brian provides remote support as the team struggle to keep up with Chad’s demands ("It's time to unleash the power of Chad, so let’s double the order!") Every possible Apple device, peripheral, and app is used in the process, and the way they are integrated proves to be a fantastic demonstration of what they can do, and how sophisticated they have become. This series has become more ambitious and accomplished over the years, and - on the back of this work - director Mark Molloy won the opportunity to direct the new 'Beverly Hills Cop' film, now streaming on Netflix. You can see why... the comedy and the action are beautifully entwined, and the performances (particularly Mia Schauffler as Bridget) are terrific. We apologise for the limited information on who did what. We have done our best to defy Apple's ridiculous and unfair policy of refusing to credit their production partners. It is impossible to understand why they are so ungenerous in this regard, but they appear to delight in it, even including faux credits for their products at the end of this film, rather than acknowledging the talented people who actually made it. It's hard to see this as anything other than deliberate trolling.
