The green, green plants of home.
MJZ's Michael Spiccia delivers a brilliant depiction of homesickness in this Amazon Prime commercial. The protagonist is wary of the big city from the moment she steps off the train, a stranger in a concrete jungle. Her new flat should be a safe haven, but it's too stark to provide any comfort. That comes from shows like 'Good Omens' and 'Clarkson's Farm' instead, as well as the interior design inspiration she needs. The website may not be able to deliver the Garden of Eden or arable land to her door, but they can deliver enough house plants and garden paraphernalia to make her forget the outside world. One might expect a song like 'Bloom' by Troye Sivan or 'Strawberry Fields Forever' by The Beatles to play here, but it's 'Full of life' by Christine and the Queens—a celebration of identity that reaches a dreamy crescendo. So long as she has green at home, the city can be as grey as it wants.
