Equipment lament.

Brands on both sides of the Atlantic are keen to help keep girls in sport. With Dove on the case in the US, Allianz pick up the baton in Ireland, where one in five children drop out of sport by the time they reach secondary school. The result is wasted potential and a literal mountain of abandoned equipment to boot.

Footballs, hula hoops, dartboards, bike helmets, hurleys… you name it, director Fern Berresford and crew have stuck it in there. Yet it's the girl stood in front of the pile who matters most, ready to give up hurling before what could be a stellar career has even begun.

The advertised firm, who claim to be "the largest insurer of school children in Ireland", want more support for youngsters in dire need of encouragement. The more parents, teachers, and coaches answer the call, the less potential/equipment will be squandered.
